Strip #2 and a new blog

Wow, long time no see. Again.

This time, though, I come to you with a strip! This was inspired by munkeygirl08's comment from last June (again, so sorry that I didn't see that until now ^^;) in which she mentioned Neko's birthday being yesterday (at the time she posted it). I then realized that all of the character's birthdays had passed since I started these strips, and decided to do one strip for all of them.

Now, you're going to see a vary large change stylistically in this strips. I've started drawing them freehand on my tablet, meaning that they'll be messier; this is intentional- I'm trying to mimic how they would be drawn in a kid's notebook during class; going back to the "source material", if you will (if you don't know what I'm talking about, see the "History of SFY" section). I'll also be writing everything by hand, so please tell me if you can't read my god awful handwriting ^^;

And please, tell me what you think of this new style? Like it? Hate it? Couldn't care less?

One last thing before the strip- I've recently started another blog, My Constant Rambling, where I'll be posting my original writing. Please, check it out!

I suck so bad

Last post was in MAY. Jeezum. My apologies to anyone reading this! Don't worry, I've far from given up on this- life just kind of swooped down and distracted me ^^;

I have a few ideas for strips that I'll be churning out soon, though! Very soon... ish...

First strip

Here it is! The first SFY comic, and the first chapter in the adventures of Neko, Pocki, and Wooki (and Taco)! This one is pretty Wooki centric, and poor Neko is hardly there at all... But don't worry! Next comic will be Neko centric!

About updates: I'm going to try to update with a new strip once a week.

Character's opinion:

Wooki: ... This sucks! A lot!
Neko: I think I have to agree... (for once...)
Pocki: I thought it was pretty good...
Wooki: I fell down a freakin' well! And the only person I had intelligent conversation with was a cat!
Neko: And I was hardly there at all!
Pocki: *sighs* You guys are just whiners. And Wooki, the cat does have a name.
Wooki: Well, what is it?!
Pocki: ... Taco. His name is Taco.
Wooki: *facepalms*
Pocki: *Turns to readers* In case you were wondering, yes, Neko did come and get us out of the well!
Neko: I almost left Wooki there.
Pocki: But I managed to persuade him!
Wooki: ... How?
Pocki: ...
Neko: *suggestive smile*
Wooki: ... I'm leaving.

Stick Figure Yaoi

Why, hello there! It looks like you've stumbled upon my web comic (or my shameless advertising of it led you here. One of the two). Right about now, chances are you're wondering something along the lines of "Stick Figure Yaoi? What the hell?" Allow me to explain...

"Stick Figure Yaoi" is a web comic about... Well, stick figures making yaoi. The idea started after something my mom and her boyfriend Mike said about said Mike's son being coerced into drawing stick figure yaoi for girls in his science class, and pretty soon, we got the idea of making a web comic based around the idea. I drew up character designs, Mike made the actual website, and my mom is going to be the editor.

If this idea seems at least a bit intriguing, read on to find out about the story and characters!

Note: If it seems cheesy or over the top at all... Good. That's the point. So no whining, 'kay?

THE STORY

What is SFY about? Well, it centers around three main guys: Neko, Pocki, and Wooki. They go to high school together, and the short story is that they're best friends. The long story, though, can be summed up in two words:

Love. Triangle.

Neko and Pocki are dating. Wooki's in love with Pocki, though, and has decided that to get a chance with him, there's only one thing to do: Kill Neko. Violently.

Will he succeed? With Pocki ever realize that Wooki not only likes him, but is regularly trying to kill Neko? And... What the hell is with that random cat?

THE CHARACTERS

Pocki
Energetic Uke
Age: 15
Sex: Male
Birthday: July 20th

The protagonist. Pretty clueless, and very energetic. He's known Wooki and Neko since they were little kids. He's the really feminine one that all of the guys seem to fall for... Even the straight ones. Currently dating Neko, and seems to not notice at all that Wooki is constantly trying to kill him. He feeds Taco whenever he shows up.

Calm Seme
Age: 16
Sex: Male
Birthday: January 10th

The protagonist's boyfriend. Much more in-the-know than Pocki. He's pretty chill, but he sometimes gets violent... Mostly towards Wooki. He's the slightly emo one that all of the girls seem to fall for... Even the gay ones. He gets very annoyed whenever Wooki tries to kill him or hit on an oblivious Pocki.

Wooki
Secretly Sadistic Seme
Age: 16
Sex: Male
Birthday: June 14

Antagonist... Sort of. He's cool and calculating, and is in love with Pocki, just like everyone else in the series... The only difference being he's the only one who tries to regularly kill Neko. He's the angsty one who may or may not have a deep, dark past (rumor going around, though, is that he's really just a snobby bastard).

Taco
Sex: Male

Random cat that sometimes pops up... Sort of like that pink snail from Blue's Clues. Mooches off of Pocki whenever he's hungry.







So, there you have it! My crazy little story! Oh, one last thing: This will be rated PG-13 for language, cartoon violence (think old cartoons), slight language, suggestive dialogue, and suggestive situations... So, yeah, all the good stuff!
