The History of SFY

For those of you who are interested...

Once upon a time, on May 30th, 2010, a young girl named Neve had just gotten home from her friends house. After lazing around for about an hour doing absolutely nothing, she went into the kitchen, looking for someone to bug, preferably her little brother. What she found was so much better.

In the kitchen was her mom, Kim, and her mom's boyfriend, Mike. After chatting for a little a while, Kim seemed to remember something. "Tell her about the girls in Duncan's class!" she said to Mike.

Mike said that Duncan, his teenage son, had an interesting experience in science class. Neve braced herself for the worst. Mike explained that sitting close to Duncan in said class were three girls who liked yaoi (at this, Neve's ears perked up, and she started listening even more intently). Somehow, Duncan had gotten in an agreement with the girls in his class where he drew them yaoi. Stick figure yaoi.

Neve found this idea not only very amusing, but intriguing as well. The three of them talked, and soon an idea was formed: A web comic featuring yaoi drawn with stick figures. Very excited at the idea, Neve sat down and started drawing character designs, while Mike started getting the site set up. A few minutes in, Kim presented the idea of using as many yaoi stereotypes as possible. As soon as she said that, Neve scrapped the previous character designs and re-drew the uke with pink hair and the seme with emo hair.

Finally, after long, hard, hours (about two), the designs were done. The site was set up. An awesome picture of the three main characters had been made in Sai. All that was left was to upload it, type a post, and tie it together with rainbows and magic. And, hey, look! Neve managed to do just that! (Okay, I promise I'll stop talking in third person now).
